SINIGANG NA BANGUS SA BAYABAS
This Sinigang na Bangus sa Bayabas (milkfish in guava soup) dish helps me to remember the time when I was experiencing childhood in Manila. The market was practically around the bend from our place so my sisters and I would walk each day to purchase crisp elements for our lunch or supper. We would purchase anything from meat, fish and vegetables. The merchants would even cleaned the fish for us 🙂 Aside from crisp guava, my mother would utilize new banana bloom in this soup however here in Vancouver, banana bloom is an uncommon and costly thing. There's canned banana bloom however I'd rather utilize spinach on account of its medical advantage.
